About
About Nomadic Shutter
Nomadic Shutter is a visual field journal—an ongoing exploration of coastlines, waterways, forests, State & National Parks and some iconic destinations (primarily for architectural compositions).
The main driver/reason for the website is to share high quality images & clips using a simple, uncluttered method void of social media. It also negates texting or emailing to individuals or groups. The goal is not high traffic attention or travel bucket list destinations. Furthermore, if there's anything you believe will make the site better functionally, visually or perhaps other content contact me.
If any of the images or videos resonate or there's a personal connection to the scene and you would like to display in a frame or that big empty wall there are many options. All of the photographs featured throughout the site are available as high-resolution, print-ready files suitable for producing exceptional prints on archival paper, canvas, acrylic, aluminum (metal), or other professional display media. My workflow is in Adobe so I can adjust file size to meet your requirements.
While my entire workflow/development is done on a 15" M2 Apple, image editing is done using a high end 24" monitor which renders near perfect quality/resolution. I do implore users to view on devices other than phones for a better experience.
My work is rooted in patience, observation, planning and producing high quality images. As most professional photographers, especially those in fine-art or brick and mortar shops will say the buyer/user normally has a connection to the image. I’ve tried to limit that a bit by offering different compositions, either off the beaten track or something with a lot contrast.
Fine Art Print Requests
Thank you for your interest in my photography. And hopefully viewing some of the displays.
I'm currently working on adding secure online print ordering to Nomadic Shutter. Until that feature is available, I'd be happy to personally assist you with selecting and preparing any image for printing.
Simply send me the image title (or a link to the photograph), along with the approximate print size or medium you're considering. I'll prepare the appropriate high-resolution file and help ensure it delivers exceptional print quality.
Each image is individually reviewed and optimized before delivery. Files are licensed for personal display and enjoyment only and may not be reproduced, redistributed, published, sold, or used commercially without prior written permission.
Ready to get started? Click the Contact button below to send your request. I'll get back to you as soon as possible to discuss your print and answer any questions you may have.
Online ordering is coming soon! Until then, thank you for your patience and for supporting independent photography and Nomadic Shutter.
Areas of Focus
Coastlines & Maritime Light
The edge of land is unpredictable. I’m drawn to transitional spaces—where waves collide with rock, where tide meets sand, where storms collapse into stillness. These are places where the landscape rewrites itself every day.
Water as Motion
Water never settles, never repeats, never stays the same.
Long exposures allow me to record motion as a single gesture—an entire minute of tide becomes a ribbon of color.
Aerial Ecology
Drones reveal more than beauty: they reveal structure.
Patterns in marsh grasses, river deltas, dune lines, and human impact become clear from above.
Cinematic Short Clips
Short, 10–15 second scenes act like moving postcards—simple, quiet stories of shifting weather, cloud movement, and the subtle rhythms of nature.
If you'd like to collaborate, license imagery, or discuss a drone project, you can reach me anytime through the contact page.
